About TerraKode
A SaaS factory for the industries software forgot.
TerraKode finds expensive, repetitive workflows in overlooked industries and turns them into focused SaaS products. We start with a narrow, painful workflow, win a specific beachhead market, and expand on reusable product infrastructure — one vertical at a time.
Where we are today: two products live — DocChaser for mortgage professionals and PowerToolBox for Microsoft Power Platform administrators — and more workflows under investigation.
The Founder
One pattern, found twice.
TerraKode started inside enterprise IT. Our founder, Scott Smith, spent 15+ years in data architecture and security operations — and kept watching Microsoft Power Platform administrators hunt security gaps across sprawling flow environments with spreadsheets and tribal knowledge. So he built PowerToolBox, the security auditing tool that finds those gaps before someone else does.
Then the same pattern showed up again, in a completely different suit: independent mortgage brokers chasing borrower documents through email threads, losing deals to delays no modern tool was built to fix. Same fragmented workflow, same manual compliance burden, same ignored market.
That was the insight TerraKode is built on: document-heavy, regulated, underserved industries all share the same skeleton. Build the platform once — white-label portals, automated workflows, compliance logging, e-signing — then shape a specific product for each vertical. DocChaser is product 01. PowerToolBox proved the model repeats. Tax and accounting workflows are under investigation now — see how the factory works.
